Filling out your profile
It’s long. It’s detailed. It’s required.
And yes, it’s all about matching on values — so you don’t end up full of regrets when the initial spark fades and you’re dropping kids off at kindergarten together.
But hey, it’s just a profile. So let’s move on to the fun part.
About Me. This is where you get to show your personality. Be yourself!
This section is also used for keyword search, so choose your words thoughtfully. For example, if you write “love Rome, love Lazio,” you just might get discovered by a legionnaire 😉
Photos & Videos
Photos: You should look like yourself — just the best version of you!
Videos: Ask someone to film you in your natural environment: at the gym if you’re into fitness, or at work during a meeting if your colleagues hang on your every word when you present.
Choosing
Use the filters. The most common mistake is having too many requirements — focus on what really matters.
We strongly recommend using:
- “Video” toggle. Profiles with videos are gold — you’re much less likely to meet someone who looks nothing like their profile.
- “Last active” filter. Don’t waste time on people who aren’t active.
- “Preferred pace” filter. Hop on a video call or meet for coffee sooner rather than later — you don’t want to spend a year texting the wrong person.
5% of profiles get 95% of the attention
That’s how it usually works on the internet. In real life, things are much more balanced. We solve this problem with our Activity block.
At the bottom of every profile, you can see how active the person is and how much attention they’re currently receiving. If someone already has dozens of pending requests, it might be smarter not to push on a closed door 😉
1000 right swipes
We don’t recommend the “1,000 right swipes” strategy. You can only message your matches, and you can send friend requests to just three people.
Think of it like meeting someone on a bus: imagine a person getting on at a stop and pitching themselves to everyone on board — or to all the people in the back rows. Not exactly the best way to connect, right?
Take It Easy
We’ve created this space for calm, genuine conversations — without constant notifications or pointless chatter. Be thoughtful with each person you talk to. Fewer connections, but deeper and more meaningful ones.
